I went to the DMV today and got my driver’s license with my new name on it. I walked out with it and sat in my car for a few minutes just staring at it with a big cheesy smile on my face. I wish I had a picture of that to share with you.
After that I went and applied for a new Social Security card with my new name, and I went to the bank and changed my name on all of our accounts.
When I got to work I immediately changed my personnel file to reflect the new name as well. I am now Mr Jesse A _______ here too.
Still happy about the new license, I went digging through my old pics that I’ve had stored online for some time, and I found my past two drivers licenses. Big difference huh?
I was 20 in the oldest one, that was taken a few months before I chopped all my hair off and quit wearing makeup.

Oh wow – the change throughout your I.D.s is outstanding. You’ve become so very handsome! I’m envious about your name change and can only imagine what it felt like for you to sit in the car soaking it in, then spending the remainder of your day running around updating it on everything. A huge relief, I’m sure. Kudos to you. :]
