This morning a new friend of mine had his top surgery and I got word not too long ago that he’s out of surgery and in recovery doing fine!
Congrats to you, buddy. I can’t wait to hear all about it!
———-
Since my last update I’ve started lifting weights/working out. I’m hoping to get into really great shape so that when I have the money to have my top surgery I am a bit bigger. My goal isn’t to lose weight as much as it is to gain bulk. Heh. I kinda see myself being muscular with a nice soft layer of fat on top of it.
I began with Katie Jr. on her bowflex. That was a great first couple of workouts, though somewhat limited since it’s not free-weights. It was also lots of fun to hang out and get some one on one time with Katie too.
Friday I went to check out the gym that Beck belongs to and Beck guided my through one of his many weight lifting workouts. That shit was no joke. I’ve never in my life done so much lifting and worked so many different muscles all at once. I swear I am seeing muscles I didn’t know I had. I decided to join the gym so that we can work out together and I’m going to work on Katie and KT Sr. so that they can come work out with us too. I think it would be good guy time.
I had a day to rest after that workout and I took advantage of it. Sunday I was still VERY sore, especially my legs, and I still managed to go march in the NYC GLBT pride parade. This was a parade that I didn’t want to miss because of it being the 40th anniversary of the stonewall riots, and with all of the marriage equality stuff going on in NY right now. I think this year’s parade was one of the best I’ve seen. Maybe it was because I got to be on the inside looking out at the crowd. There is so much cool stuff going on in the crowd it might be more entertaining thatn the parade!
My legs are not forgiving me for making them walk in the condition they were in. Tonight the workout resumes but I’m going easy on the legs.
Late last night Tina gave me my third shot of T. She’s really a trooper. I’m not sure I’d be able to stab her with a needle.

You’re working out – yay, buddy! Keep it up and reach your goal. You deserve to feel as good as you can possibly feel.
I thought of you and Tina so much on Sunday and I can’t tell you how much we both wanted to be there to cheer you on.

Glad your buddy’s surgery went well.
I wish I had your energy to get to the gym. And the shot – well. Tina is a brave woman – I couldn’t give someone a shot.

AWESOME that you joined the gym. It’s so flippin’ addictive and your body/mood/everything is going to fall in love and entirely deserves it. :]

I started working out recently, too. Besides doing my best in gym class, I’ve been doing pressups and situps at home whenever I need to take a break (I’m also aiming to gain muscle instead of losing weight).
I can’t go on testosterone right now, so developing my muscles is a great way to work towards my ideal body. I don’t know how much my appearance is actually changing, but it feels good to be doing something about it.

You are so going to get addicted to that gym! What an awesome thing to do for your body. Good job.
I’m a little jealous that you were in the NYC Pride Parade. You are right, now is a very important time to show the rainbow in us all. We’re not going away any time soon.
All that said, the Berlin parade was fantastic and I wouldn’t have missed it for the world.
