Before I get into my weekend update, I need to extend my gratitude once more to those of you who have donated money to my top surgery fund. So far, there’s $361.25 worth of donations in my paypal account, which will hopefully earn interest since I upgraded my paypal acct to a money market acct. which is supposed to earn up to .77% interest.
(I’m hoping the interest will at the very least offset the small paypal fees)
I am beyond touched by the amount of support, suggestions on how I can raise money, and generosity of people out there in blogland. I have received two donations from people I don’t even “know” as well and that is just amazing to me. You are all awesome and I love you for it.

I’ve been growing out my hair for a while because I wanted to have a fauxhawk. I think I am trying to reclaim my youth or something, but even moreso I was tired of my regular do, and just thought a change was necessary, so on Friday I decided it was time to take the leap.
So far I’ve gotten only positive feedback on the new style, and what’s best is that I really like it. Since I am at work today, I had to tame the hawk so it’s a bit more subtle and relaxed and not so spikey/wild, but hopefully these pics give you an idea.
I fuckin’ love it!

Friday night we met up with Kat and Tina and Katie and Darlyn at the accousitic cafe in fairfield. We saw some pretty cool bands and had great drinks and of course better company. Tina was beat, so we headed out fairly early and went home to go to bed.

Saturday Tina and I hosted lesbian speed dating at our community center. Tina’s been needing a trim for a while now and had been looking onto visiting one of the Dominican hair stylists in the area because they really know how to deal with thick and really curly hair. I sat there waiting for Tina’s hair to get done for three hours.
I got to see Tina in these huge soup can sized rollers about an hour after we got there, then she had to sit under a dryer for an hour, then they took out the rollers and hand rolled her hair into these little tiny curls with metal clips in them and used the blow dryer to set those, then they styled it. OMG. when she was done I couldn’t believe what a great job they’d done on her hair. It was mostly straight with these huge loose bouncy curls. All I can say is hot damn.
I thought she looked so damn cute in the rollers but I have a feeling she’d kill me if I posted the entire pic.
I really wish we got a pic of Tina’s hair after it was done.

Speed dating was a success!! We were in a room with 30 or so lesbians of different ages and backgrounds and even some butches I’d never met before were out representing. There was an empty seat, so I filled in and talked to whoever wasn’t “on a date” and got to meet some great folks that I hope to get to hang out with sometime.
After speed dating we went to our local gay bar and drank and danced the night away. Tina was so sexy, dancing and having a good time. I have learned that watching her dance with other people turns me on. I am equally turned on by knowing that she’s watching me dance with someone else. She was smokin’ hot out there. Woo…
I danced so much Saturday night that I was actually hurting the next day. Proves how out of shape I am. We shut the place down. A sexy gay guy tried to pick me up.. I was dancing with him and he thought I was a guy until he put his hand on my chest. That was funny and quite the compliment.
We got home safely and fell asleep by 3ish.

Woke up at around 10, spent quality time with the wife ;) and then went back to sleep until 2:30!!! I was so hungover!!! We had to be at the bowling alley by 5:45, so we did what we needed to around the house and went bowling. I had my best night ever!!! My first game was a 144, second 118 and third 113.
This season I have started out great!! My average last season, don’t laugh, was 99. Our fourth week bowling I am now averaging 125. I’m really happy with the improvement and don’t feel like I am holding my team back anymore.

After bowling we watched the LWord. I totally have the hots for Helena this season. I loved when she bumrushed Dylan.. ROFLMAO.
The sex scenes were awesome as usual.
As for the Max story line, I thought the fight with Tom was realistic.. I mean being on T and being pregnant has got to have the hormones going crazy. It made me sad to see the bullshit in the women’s center when Max went in hopes of having an abortion. Transphobia is real..
I was also sad for Max that the surgery had to be postponed, especially after he was so looking forward to it. That was a bummer.
The Shane/Jenny thing was bound to happen. Seriously.. you had to have seen that coming somewhere in the back of your mind. It’s a bummer though because I want to see Shane and Molly get back together.

Congrats on the money you’ve gotten together with the donations. I can just feel that everything will be more than O.K with your top surgery.
I was thinking that maybe you can raise more money by pet sitting or something…like that. Here in Chile you can get really good money by taking care other peoples dogs and cats. And since you like animals…it wouldn’t be something so complicated. I really don’t know…a kinda suck a this but I triying my best to help you out with some ideas.

I did the fauxhawk too, and thought of the same reason…recapturing my youth. I’m single handedly trying to bring back the 90’s…want in on it?
