I just got off the phone with the insurance company and my surgery has been approved!!
I go under the knife on February 26th and will come out a new and improved Jess.
I can’t begin to describe the excitement/fear that is rushing through me right now. It’s crazy.

Since my last post, I’ve had a chance to see what exactly it is that I’m in for with this surgery. A friend of ours had it done and she is really in pain. I saw the incisions and the stitching. I got to go to the DR with her to get some of the sutures removed. Tina and I have been at ehr house almost everyday helping out and yesterday brought her to our house for a change of scenery.
I cannot believe the pain this woman has been in. If I was nervous before seeing this, I’m definitely a wreck right now.

I am proud and overwhelmingly happy to announce that I am officially almost through with day 5 on my quest to quit smoking. The first few days I had a drag here and there when the urges got too strong, but a drag here and there was all. I’ll say that’s a huge accomplishment since I was smoking a pack+ a day. Go me!!!
I had to quit or else i could have complications with healing. I don’t want that.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my Godson, JAVIER, who turned 17 on the 9th!!! We went to his B-day lunch on Saturday and it was nice to see everyone.. Javi, the crew, Roni, Cat, HALF of my family. LOL. Holla!
Jav made out with a wad of cash from all the grown folks who love him. I can’t believe he’s working, going into his Sr. year of HS, and will be driving soon. Geez.. time flyz.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my little sister Michelle, whoo turned 22 today!!! OMG!! 22??? That makes me… WOW!!! LOL I remember the day she was born. That cute little blue eyed girl. The only one with blue eyes of all of my father’s 6 kids. She’s still got the same smile and blonde curly hair. I don’t get to see her as often as I’d like to, and I miss her alot. She doesn’t read this blog or even know it exists, but I had to shout her out any ol’ way.
