I was born in Waterbury, CT, to newlywed parents in nineteen hundred and seventy-eight.

When I was two, I gained a beautiful baby sister named Sarah.

When I was four, mom was pregnant again and was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Mom filed for divorce and gave birth to my adorable baby brother, Steve.

When I was five, Dad remarried a really cool lady.

When I was six, my pretty little sister Michelle came along.

Cool lady became mean lady.

When I was seven, I kissed a girl.

When I was eight, I got another baby sister, Rachel!

When I was ten, my baby brother Josiah was born :) (Dad was busy)

By this time, I’ve already realized that girls are beautiful, and I wanted to spend as much time kissing as many of them as I could. Boys were ok too. I wanted to be like them. Truth or dare was a regular past time of mine.

“Dare” “Dare” “Dare”

When I was 12 I smoked my first cigarette.

When I was 14, I had sex with a boy. (ick)

When I was 14, I made out with a girl.

When I was 16, I partied a lot, I got pregnant, lost the baby before I knew, I lost a good friend to heroine.

When I was 17, I was in a coma and almost lost my life in a car wreck.

When I was 17, I moved to Hartford.

When I was 18, I joined a cult, began a really long battle with depression, and fell in love with my roommate. A girl.

When I was 19, I came out for the first time.

When I was 20, I cut off all of my hair.

When I was 21, I owned the label “butch”.

When I was 22, I became Jero.

When I was 23, we moved back to Waterbury and I bought a house.

When I was 24, my first relationship ended and my second relationship began. I moved to Brooklyn, NY.

When I was 25, we moved back to Bridgeport, CT.

When I was 26, that relationship ended and the next and final one began.

Enter Tina.

When I was 27, I asked her to marry me. She accepted. :)

When I was 28, I became her wife, and she mine. I also officially became a step-parent of two beautiful teens.

Today I am 29. I am happy, in love, free from drama. …sigh… life is good.
